The #Leicester Open Streets series of events comes to Jarvis Street and teams up with Visit Leicester, Ride Leicester, Active Leicester, Leicester City Council and Street Art Collective Graffwerk for a Street Art Jam. The film opens on the arches of the old Great Central Railway where artists are creating various works, the camera then pans left to reveal the Wheels For All area where people of all ages and abilities are able to try various pedal powered forms of transport. Moving into the Street Art Jam itself under the bridge and a custom 80`s themed tandem bike by Cyclone Works is blasting out tunes to create a fun atmosphere. Artists in the back of shot are up and down ladders creating art on the walls as people watch on and join in the fun. Street Art In Leicester - SHORT STREET LE1

A look at street art created by artists along Leicester`s Short Street. Leicester is fast becoming the place to be for street artists, a previously unremarkable shortcut from the city center to St margarets Bus Station short street has been transformed with bight artwork on both sides of the street. The street now features works by many artists and even contains a portrait of internationally popular comedy character Mr Bean !. My film takes a look at some of the artworks and aims to give an idea of the scale but a visit to this hidden Leicester gem is thoroughly recommended.

In my film I take a look at some of the work on display in the atmospheric location and we see artists like BenZArt working on their pieces as the traffic of the city passes overhead.

My film features the artist at work on the mural in Kate Street #Leicester. Artist Richard Wilson works in spray paint to create artworks focusing primarily on portraits.
